Hello,

I have a small problem on my pc regarding the distortion of bad sound quality when I installed vista on my pc. When I installed windows vista premium fresh from a formated harddrive, vista installed my creative soundblaster live 5.1 drivers fine. As soon as I started listening to some music or sounds, it has a very bad distortion quality, or the sound quality is really horrible when i don't tweak the setting. I wonder if it's to do with creative soundcards with no hal on vista, or my sound drivers outdated when vista detected it? Just wanted to know! Thank you.

My specs:
Pentium 4 2.4@2.86
Creative soundblaster live 5.1 pci card @Creative EMU10K1
Windows vista premium SP1
1GB kingston ram@266mhzx2
ATI Radeon 9550
LG dvd burner
Asus p4s800DX motherboard

Might be, try and update. You know that vista doesnt got as much drivers as XP. If I where you I would upgrade my pc to 2GB RAM and change to a newer soundcard, but thats just me XD

Vista is a bad idea on this system, i'd reccomend an upgrade...
