Shogun Total War

I'm trying to burn a copy of Shogun: Total War disc 1 for a friend and it seemingly copies perfectly until we try to install and it crashes his puter.
I can't seem to get it to copy.
does anyone have any suggestions on how to overcome this or a no CD crack that I can download (i've looked but haven't come across anything that was of any help)?

I am using a no-cd crack and the only two places I go for them are megagames and *************, so you should be able to find one from either of those places.

not for v1.12 anyway.

what would be ideal is finding a way to burn it onto disc and have it work :)

once u download the no CD crack where do u install the .rar file into the total war game file, do u have to delete any files out of the total war file

I think I'm using a crack for an older version of Shogun and it still works anyway. Try using an older crack.

If it's a rar file you'll have to unpack it with winrar http://download.com.com/3000-2250-10007677.html then it's a case of copying the cracked exe and pasting it into the game directory overwriting the original exe.
