UT2003 ver.2136 Freezes up on me!!!!

First of all these are my system specs:

Athlon XP 1800+
Abit Siluro GF4 Ti 4200 OTES 64mb (41.09 Drivers from Nvidia)
256 PC133 SDRAM
7200rpm 40 gig Seagate HDD
ECS K7S5A motherboard
Win 98 SE Operating System

My Video card has an OTES cooler on it and it comes overclocked at 275\550.

I am experiencing frequent lockup's during the game. First there is a short, sharp shreik kind of a sound and then instantly afterwards my system locks up requireing a manual restart.

I have been playing around with the idea that I need to underclock my video card. But with the OTES Cooler on it it should be able to overclock to 310\600 without too many problems.

Any Advice would be greatly appreciated

well... what about downgradin ur drivers?... im usin the version 30.82 from Nvidia n the game runs fine on my sis!

my specs r

Athlon XP 1600+
Generic (well, its a chinesse brand i dont remember!) GF4 128mb
256 DDR ram
60 Gb HDD (with only 1 gb 4 swappin)...

so try that option ... or try to downgrade (reinstall) the game n c what happens! (the upgrade has a lotta changes but most of them u dont need them actually)

Funny, I was nearly going to include that the problem happens on 30.82 and 40.72 drivers in my original thread.

Try closing all those progs running in background and updating all your drivers not only the video drivers. If that dosn't work try reinstalling ut2003
