First of all, let me state that while this may not seem to be an emergency to you, I can guarantee that my sanity hangs in the balance.
Secondly, I followed some relevant links in some stickies, but they are *ahem* outdated, to say the least.
Finally: my problem. I have a wireless router that in theory should let my connect to my Wii without headache. Problem is, my ISP requires me to input my username and password every time I connect, and the Wii isn't built to handle that. This took me a solid 2 hours to figure out (I'm an idiot, I know). So I went out and bought the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, hoping that this would solve my problems. After downloading the latest Vista patch (because I'm running Vista BTW) it gave me an error about Internet Connection Sharing not working. So after a few minutes of Googling, I found out what it was, enabled it and started up the setup again, only to be met with the same error.
I have since tried every combination and mixture of every solution I could find on the web, and none have made any difference. As far as I can tell, the problem is:
1. The local area connection 2, which connects through the Wifi USB thingy has limited connectivity in both IPv4 and IPv6. Not sure how I can fix that.
Or,
2. The login thing is still getting in the way.
Or,
3. Any number of other possible things that I don't know about because I'm a complete idiot.
I get the feeling that I may need some live help with this, and if anyone has the time and or cares enough to help me, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Or if you think simply giving me instructions will suffice to solve my problem, I will welcome any help I can get.
Thanks in advance, and I hope this isn't too ambitious a request for a first-time poster.
