^^

I think it may be overheating. I have 6 fans in my case, and my system runs cold as hell, yet my GPU is running at 50+ C. Please let me know if this is normal, and if it is not, what I can do to fix it.

That's the 8800GTX - probably similar, though.

What are the temps of your other components? If everything is running a bit hot, taking the side off your case may help a bit (you just have to be a little more active in dust control haha). Also, how are your fans set up (how many drawing air in, how many pushing air out)?

My Radeon HD 2600XT runs around 60C which I consider normal, my CPU runs anywhere inbetween 40C and 50C, GPUs always run at higher temperatures than your CPU so I really don't think its anything to worry about as long as your not getting any artifacting in games or anything. :)

Actually 50 is normal on idle. My 8800GTX runs between 56 to 58 on idle on a hot day it gets to 60 C and I have the antec nine hundred running with 5 120mm fans and 1 200 mm fan. about 74 C on load. OC to 650MHz GPU and 2200Mhz I get it running at about 79 C on load.

Those are good temps you have no need to worry. GPU's usually run hotter then anything else in your system especially these power hungry cards you can't expect anything less.
