WMP11, Help and System restore not working

Hi
I turned on my computer today and several windows

programs aren,t working.
When I try to turn on Windows Media Player 11, Help and

Support or System Restore nothing happens.
The same problem occurs in safe mode.

System: Windows XP Pro SP2

I dont know why but System restore started to show a blank screen so
I fixed the problem. I just hed to reregister some dlls.

I don't know but maybe a reformat could be better?

I guess windows will get very messed after this
