This is going to seem like a stupid question, but I've never used a crack before. Basically, a friend downloaded the Sims Complete collection NO CD crack for me and I have absolutely no idea how to use it. Is it true that you need to copy the crack program itself somewhere and replace a certain part of the already installed program with it?
Help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Mel

Thanks. I did all that but now I'm having new problems. I think this is less to do with the crack and more to do with the way I installed the Sims to be honest, or it's just Vista being a +++++ as usual. :graymad: </rant>

Did these problems occur when you used your original game disc?

Most games cracks these days seems to be the typical cracked exed replacing the original exe. Just a copy/paste process
I remember lot's of old nocd cds from 1998-2001 for games used to be a program that patched the original exe (just adding some bytes or something) Now this type of system is rarely used in games (except cracks for applications that is still very used )
