New Style

ok I was checking out this new style of yours and was wondering just how difficult is it to create.

ie I have some time up my sleave and was wondering if it is easy enough to create a new style and how do i go about it.

I remember something coming through about a program that edits these types of thing a while back but have been unable to find this.

Well, it depends on what you want to do. The overall colors and effects we have here, on the default style were done by us, (x-calibur actually)

There are style generators online, but the ones I've seen are pretty weak, all they let you do is change the color, and you can already manually do that via Admin CP.
If you fiddle around your sytle settings in Admin CP (backup first!) I think you'll get the hang of it.

When it comes to styles that are graphically intense, like some of the ones that www.ravio.com has, it can get tricky...

so is there a way to like create a second copy of this default style and change it? so as we keep all the hacks in it?

and i also assume you have to be an admin to do it?

Admin CP-->Styles-->Download/Upload-->[default]-->Download.

That's to download the current style. Not sure how much it would save, since most hacks are template edits.

It took hundreds of hours to install all the hacks we currently have..Hundreds of hours, literally ;)
We have more hacks than I can remmber right now.
Doing that again would take a long, long, long while. That's the main reason I didn't add other styles originally.
