I am playing a game on my PC and when it comes to a this one cutscene, the game freezes, and the screen turns all pixely, and green, and different colors all messed up, and the sound plays in like a loop (very annoying).
I think it's a problem with the codex im using, since the game is atleast 7 years old (you can see the pixels in main characters face).
is there a fix for this, or a way to bypass the cutscene.
Also I tried to play the cutscene on Real Player on my PC it doesn't work, the cutscene file is in the .STR format.
thanks.

Check the game requirements. Check game display options changing it.
Check your directx version, display software version.......all should be up-to-date.
Try again installing that game and see if it works or not.
Normally game cut-scenes can't be played on any of external players. They only work in games.
Also if you are using a crack.....try another crack. Some cracks skips the cut-scenes.
BTW which game are you trying to play.

never mind, I fixed it, turns out I just needed to use an older version of that Emulator.
Im playing Final Fantasy 9, fun game, I love the story behind the characters and how they meet up as the team, and how u play as them all in the begining, if u haven't played it, id recomend it to you, if you into the FF series and dont mind playing with crappy graphics and a guy with a tail.

Its weird how stuff like that works out, but its good you managed to sort it yourself.
FF8 is the best one imo, I really like FF9 its just really difficult to level up and by the time I had got to the 2nd disk I was at such a low level I couldn't get any further because I kept on getting killed by everything! :p
