C&C 3 network issue

Hi I have C&C 3 and when I try to play on the network I can see my friend but he can’t see me. I can see when he makes a game but when I try to connected it says connected timed out we tried every thing form router to firewall IP if any knows a fix plz let me know thank you

Is the host computer a DMZ (router option)?
