I bought this game like 3 weeks ago and the same as some people reported on the Ubi forums my gamepad didn't want too work well (the buttons worked but the sticks not)
I was tired of mapping and remapping the keys on the the Devicemapper.exe in the game folder without any luck but i finally found a way:
I uninstalled the Official Vista Drivers from my gamepad and let only the default plug & play detection on vista and then returned to the devicemapper.exe in the TMNT game folder (to erase any mapping entries I did it seems the mapper has some bugs and don't map well the keys ) And then lauched the game and worked finally as should do
I played the game with key + mouse combination but when I was near the end of the level l with Don othello where you have jump & dwon several part while the water is uppering very fast the controls turned pretty awful and now with gamepad was pretty easy. Now I am on Mike level (the fouth level I guess)
Another thing to consider if the mentioned workaround doesn't work is download Direct 9.0c and updated to the most recent version even when Vista has DX10, DX 9.0c is still needed of a lot of DX9 games. Don't trust the DX9 integrated wrapper on Vista 90% of the time won't work
