Help copying DVD+R

Hi everyone. I am new to backing up ps2 games and tried a search on this subject but found alot of contradictory things. So I hope someone can help me. I have a dvd+rw/+r drive with a sbox modchip and am trying to figure out how to back up some games.

1st - can ps2's read DVD+r discs?

and if so

2nd - what is the best way to back up ps2 games with dvd+r drive?

Any help would be greatly appreciated because I am getting pretty frustrated trying to figure this out. Thanks again

yes ps2 can read dvd+r not +rw backing up dvd-rom games r really easy just a straight copy with this option make a temp to the hdd and then copy from there. but not sure if ur chip can boot dvdr games.
