Hey guys

I have a Magic 2 chip installed in my v7 ps2. I know for PSX, you press reset button until blue light comes up. For ps2 games, just boot like normal.

But my problem here is when I boot for ps2 games, sometimes, the screen remains blank. I had to try lots of time before I can play ps2 games.

So I was wondering if there was something wrong with it? Like do I need a fan to cool down the chip or something...

So if anyone can help, I would appreciate it very much

Thx

Oh man, still doesnt work. The problem is sometimes (most of the time) if I just press reset button, nothing will come up on the screen i.e. the sony entertainment opening..
and I have to try many times before something comes up

Thanks for trying though, appreciate it SCYRAXXX :)

Hey I am not trying to sound like a know it all but this same crap happened to my friends ps2 after he modded his system.
We had to take it apart again a few weeks ago.
All we did to get it to work was to remove the wires and clean the lead lines of solder beeds and to re solder the wires from the chip to cleaner and more open trace points.
Oh you might want to make sure that the wires attached to the chip itself is still fitted nice and snuggggg as this could be causing a short in the data and might not beable to boot as you said..
Try this I hope this works for you other wise Iam baffled....
