Important: DVD PS2 Dilemma!!

Hey there fellow mg'ers,

I am wondering whether to buy a dvd +R\RW but im unsure about a few things.....

1) which DVD writer is the best for backing up ps2 games

2) Is it safe for my PS2 to play these games?

3) Do i need a DVD writer to make these backups or can I use an ordinary cd rw?

4) Is there any way these backup games will play on UN MODDED PS2's?

1: Pioneer A04/104 or the A05/105 (dvd-r)
2: Yes its safe
3: DVDr or you can get pre-ripped copys of most games that fit on cdr.
4: Nope
