Is this game good as the previous releases ?. I hope EA didn't make ++++e of the franchise since Westwood it's game over since a long time and EA a lot if the times has a zero of creativity

It's pure old school RTS. Brainless fun, though some time some strategy is required. For a noob, that game would be hard. Hell for most of the people who aren't used with the old school mass tank battles and massive defenses, that would be a hard game. For RTS veterans, it's like a walk in the park on the hard difficulty level.
The FMV it ain't bad. Reminds me of the cutscenes from the original C&C. The gameplay is fast and furious, some missions are requiring quick reflexes and quick thinking. And the best part: the old mammoth tank is back. Yup, the one who actually looked like a tank and not some clone of starwars walkers(mammoth tank mark II in C&C2). There are some old units and some new units, the stealth tank was improved, becoming an efficient assault weapon, but needs to be deployed in masses, 'cause the armour is still weak.
The GDI commando unit is plainly bad, though it has a few advantages like the jetjump. The NOD has a better commando: stealth, resilient to both infantry and tank attack, and quite capable to handle itself in crap-y situations.Of ocurse the demolition is available for both.
The game is pretty optimised, working great on a XP2400, 512mb RAM and a Geforce 6600GT(my old computer).
At the moment I'm playing this one and Virtua Tennis 3.

It looks good they kept the old school gameplay like you said then the game must be fun. Then EA didn't make crapola this time Incredible since most of the time they make ++++e in their games . If I see the game here I'm gonna buy it. And who is the developer they used this time? (since Westwood is RIP)

1.03 is out. The patches are coming out all the time, as they try to fix their multi-player issues.

I am having trouble with a patch. I have tried using the fairlight patch and am putting it in the right place. When I go to run cc3 it takes about 2 min to load up and then once loaded it crashes after about 5 mins. Any ideas? Also when is v1.3 patch supposed to come out? I feel if I updated the game this may help matters. thanks

The 1.03 patch only came out a couple of days ago, give them time to get the 1.03 nocd out.

The v1.03 patch is out, but no crack yet. The minimum period before requesting a crack(according to mgforums) is two weeks. On gamecopyworld the period is two months.
I didn't updated my game to v1.02 or v 1.03, mainly because those patches the multiplayer aspects of the game.
The original release and v1.01 are working fine for me. No crashes happened to me.
A few info about your PC would help to find out what causes your problem. Also update your videocard drivers and DirectX 9.0c(latest redistributable is february 2007 and is available at the Microsoft official site).
The game works well on a minimum 1gb RAM, a Nvidia 6600(or the equivalent from ATI) videocard and at least a CPU at 2ghz.
