New crack from Hatred as Vitality seems to rushed their release.
AMD Athlon 64x2 4800+ or Intel Core 2 Duo, 1Gb RAM, 3D Hardware Accelerator Card Required - 100% DirectXR 9.0c compatible 256MB (Geforce 7800, for example).
Recommended requirements. From what I gather from their site, it's also optimised for older PC's and should work fine on a AMDXP3200(P4 at2.0ghz), 512mb RAM and ATI 9600 or FX5700.

Well, I've registered here mostly to help out as much as possible. Hope I didn't disappointed anyone, so far.
Also, I see that after Rocol's passing, the forums are quite sad in the gaming section. Some noob revived a very old thread and I've seen Rocol's name in it and I remembered that he always was there to help the people in need and always being fair about the rules...:(

it is a T2050 Centrino Core Duo 1.6 ghz x 2, 1 gig RAM DDR2, and a Mobile Radeon X1600 videocard 512mb HYPERMEMORY....

The only way to find out would be to try it out for yourself. Nobody (unless they have the same specs) will be able to tell you how it will run. Although, based on the minimum and recommended requirements of the game, I'd say it'll run alright.

The game's not out in the UK yet... March 23rd is the release for us too. Which is a shame, since I'm getting my PS3 then. Oh well, might have to buy both :D

They adopted instead a cheaper solution(software backward compatibility aka emulation). As a result the PS3 will be cheaper in EU, but many of the PS and PS2 games won't work. Great job of Sony Australia CEO who handled the european launch. As if and australian dude would understand the EU market:(

Regardless of the changes to the hardware, the price in the EU (and sepifically the UK), remains much higher than that of the US and Japan. Personally, backwards compatibility was never an issue for me. I still have my PS2's, and if any of the 1200 PS2 games don't work on my PS3, I'll play them on that. Same goes for my XBOX 360 and XBOX.

Sticking on topic though, I preordered STALKER from Game, I'll get it on launch day, along with my PS3 :clap:

I'm already sucked into The Zone. Pretty addictive as you want to know what's after the next corner, what strange phenomenon awaits you and what the hell is wrong with you. 7 endings. This is nice. Seems that most of the people get the greed ending. That says something:D
Hopefully I'll get a better ending. The greed ending is a bad one. After all greedy is bad:hands:
The AI is pretty smart on the master level. I think I've seen a better AI in Operation Flashpoint. It's like OpF meets Fallout. But of course this ain't Fallout. Any action that you do will have repercussions along the entire course of the game. I'd say it's one of the most interesting shooters I've ever played.
The recommended system requirements are the best for playing. The minimum requirements not working. You need at least 1gb RAM(2 recommended). The video card should be at least a geforce7600 or the equivalent from ATI. The CPU should be around 3ghz. And with that you get a okay gameplay at medium details. For max performance the dual core CPU, 2gbRAM and geforce7950(ATIX1950) are a must.Maybe a patch will bring a bit more optimization. But mostly it's a RAM whore this game.

how does the crack work??? there is a stalker.exe but it only shows the credits from the crack!!!

The second english fix should be Hatred's fix. I've tried both Vitality and Hatred and HAtred fix proved to be more stable. With Vitality's fix I've had crashes when I exit the game.
I'll remove the second link as anyway the crack was made available equally on all the three sites. I have the same ID as on Megagames on GCW and GBW.

On GCW are both Vitality and Hatred releases for patch 1.001 of STALKER.
