I just dug up BF1942 and started playing it again, because im bored and my computer cannot handle anything later:graynone:
My mate also has a crappy computer and BF1942 and we wanted to play against each other. For some reason Hamachi does not work, everytime he tries to connect to the game, he connects for a second, and then it says: error: data differs from the server.
Can anyone help me with this problem or recommend another way for us to be able to play?
Cheers.:)

Are you both using the same disk, or do you have seperate game disks? Aslo try updating your game so you are both running the same version ie: 1.1 or 2.3 ;)

BF 1942 can be played on the hamachi network?. I have the game and never played it on line and since something old i thought was released a lot before of that service was available but i see not
Pretty ugly graphics looks like Doom for DOS to be relesed in 2002 a lot of shooter of the same year looked ages better

Any game that can be played over a LAN cannection, can be played over the Hamachi network.
That error suggests (as Inq said), you version of the game differs, from your friends.
If your (or your friend) is using a No-CD crack, that could also be the problem.
