Are you running any other apps, when burning your disks? Check on Task manager next time you are burning to see if any thing is running in the background at time of the burn :)

Under-buffering is usually caused by lack of system resource, as Inq said, are you running and RAM hogging applications in the background while burning?

Even doing something simple like listening to music, or using the Internet can cause it.

It could even be spyware or something similar.

Also lowering the burn speed helps for that problem

Thats bizzare, maybe your burner is on its way out?

I would try another drive, and see if you get the same problem.

Or you could run a diagnostic program on your drive, see if its working OK, Google it, your bound to find something.

Well when your downloading it writes to the HDD, and when buring you are reading from the HDD, maybe thats what is causing the slowdown?

Assuming your download is filling the cache quickly then it would interfere wth burning, try not downloading when buning, i never download when burning just as a precaution.

Doubt it, HD's are easily capable of reading and witing simultaneously from multiple sources, not unless he has a seriously old HD anyway. :p
