Hi,

I want to use my NTSC ps2 on a PAL television. I know I can do this by using a converter. I believe I can only use the converter if I currently get a still black and white picture on my tv.

When I plug in my ps2 I get a rolling picture. My tv is extremely old but still works quite well. I don't want to waste my money buying a new tv for my ps2 if it cannot broadcast a still picture from my ps2.

Do modern tv's always support the frequency of an NTSC ps2? If not, how can I make it so that they will?

Thanks for any replies.

75% of modern TVs do have support for NTSC, although converters are available, like this one (http://www.darkplanets.co.uk/ps2/playstation-ntsc-to-pal-converter.asp). ;)

100% of HD-TVs are PAL & NTSC compatible. Prices are coming down so not a bad time to upgrade.
