If you're using a fixed .exe file, replace all original files and try playing the game with the original game disc ... sometimes, a crack can be the cause of the problem you're experiencing (e.g., The Godfather's car issue)

I've tried boriginal cd and nocd and still no luck... i cant even say its a hardware problem... my 9800 is supported... i can hear the background sound... i have all the minimum specs... unless it doesnt like AMD chips..the bug report doesnt even tell me whats wrong, theres no proper support on the thq, sumo and barely any on the revolution website.. can anyone at all help me? Maybe i have corrupt game files? its happened to me before when i bought grandia III. What would mounting the image do? ill give it a go but....

try uninstalling the game
rebooting
and then reinstalling and finally if possible upate the game to the latest patch.
Update your graphics card drivers as well. Use original disc and disable and virtual drive software like alcohol or daemon tools. Updating windows may help as well to sp 2 and installing the .Net framework which is sometimes needed by games nowadays anyway.

If the computer beeps when you get the black screen it could be th BIOS alerting that something is wrong
