I have tried the 4 cds version, and the dvd "ultima edition" and nothing...when i open the game it goes to black, i can hear the music but that's it; i've installed the xp patch and nothing....i don't know how i can make it run.

PS: i've got an ati radeon 9550 and xp sp2

You need to run the game in compatibility mode, I believe ... it can be found in the Properties menu of the shortcut

the dvd version isn't mine, a cousin lend it to me.....because the 4 cds version wasn't working...¬¬, the 4 cds are mine, and they used to work fine in my old pc, but it the new it doesn't work.

Using the dvd version then would be illegal..

to use your own cd version try updating windows and ensure you have the .net framework installed, updated and patched. As well as this gtry updating the ff game, updating your drivers, mainly graphics card and on top of that try running the game in compatability mode.

i tried to run it in compatibility mode but i tried the 4 options and nothing....besides, why should the .net framework affect the game?

thanks
