Let me start by saying this: I have legally purchased both Dogz 5 and Catz 5.

A while ago, I lost my Catz 5 CD... I barely even remembered that I bought it until I found Catz 5 installed on my mom's computer, and I -never- download games, so it became obvious. I still have my Dogz 5 CD sitting right in front of my, but my computer's disk drive has pretty much stopped working.

Stupidly, a few weeks ago I uninstalled the game to free up some space, and then shortly afterwards (maybe a few days) the drive stopped working. I had both games installed on my mom's computer, so I compressed everything into a ZIP file and sent it to my computer, thinking maybe I could send all the files here and thus play the game (don't laugh xP I'm not very software-savvy). When I tried to open it, it told me that I needed to have the CD in.

Thus my problem. My drive will open and close but it won't recognize anything that I put into it.

Soooo, I have two questions.

1) If I managed to get a no CD crack, or my drive fixed, would I be able to play the game, since it wasn't originally installed onto my computer?

2) If the answer is yes, could anyone guide me to said no-CD crack?

Just transfering a game like that wont make it work.... Most probably it wont work..

best option (as i make it out you still have your cd but then again im absolutley wrecked riht now...)
is to get the disc and put it into the working pc, then copy all files from it and zip it to the broken drive pc, you say its hard drive but if that was the case it wouldnt boot or would but windows would randomly crash, i assume you mean the disc drive instead.

9/10 you should be able to install from the method i have shown above, providing of course you unzip the large file beforehans ;)

whether its legal or not is a grey area, better off asking a mod.

Unfortunatly, because you have lost , or don't own the game any more, MGF cannot provide any support. Please contact the software Tech support, details provided in the manual
