NFS most wanted lag prob

The game is having a serious lag problem, maybe due to hardware problems but I'm not really sure. WHen I go to start the game, it takes it like 20 seconds for it to start, and then everything on the screen is shown up really funky and nothing looks right such as: words aren't displayed right and all images are scrambled. Keep in mind I've applied the v1.3 patch and I'm using a no-cd fix. I’ve also tried the no-dvd fix but I’m just getting an error that says “An extended memory manager is already installed. XMS driver not installed. Program to big to fit in memory”. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where did you get the game from?
Does this happen when you use original exe and original disc in drive?
What is your system specs?

yes I tried without the crack and using sd4 instead but I still get the same problems.

My system specs:

OS: Microsoft Windows XP Pro (Build 5.1)
Processor: Intel Pentium III Processor
Memory: 256MB Ram
DirectX 9.0
Video card: NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64 w/ 32MB of memory

I'm running the game in 1024x768 also.

I'm not too worried about where the game came from because I downloaded it from a file sharing program but it works on my bro's computer just fine (and it is the same copy I'm using)

I've tried running the game with and without the v1.3 patch too just in case that might have something to do with it

That videocard is pretty old to run the game don't even have T&L. Remember me when I had my vanta similar to that card I had to change becauae I could't run anything new with it
