Suddenly stops??????

Alright heres the problem..
i'll put it in a nice list from start button to problem...

-push start button
-pc startup screen- alls well
-windows loads- alss well
click on account to enter my password and then mouse refuses to respond as well as the keyboard.
the cursor cueing me to put in my password still flashes.
Whats up with that?

Have you tried safe mode?

Try bypassing the welcome screen by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del twice, then logon that way.

no virus, use Mcaffee and spybot search and destroy.

I wont let me. lights dont even come on, on my keyboard.

Tried taking keyboard out mouse out everything.

Well, if you're keyboard and mouse are not working than it's more than likely a problem with the keyboard and mouse, not a virus. Are these PS2 interface or USB?

Are you using cordless mouse/keyboard? Those sometimes have problems to get recognized

If they are USB then maybe you accidentaly disabled USB keyboard and mouse support in the BIOS.

no no no.
PS2 connected
dont have money to keep replacing battries in wirless stuff.
had a friend look at it an he says it's most likely to port died.
not surprising though my cd rom has fritzed and i have taken it as a sign to get new ++++. might take 3 months to budget but what the heck. I can afford to spend some money on something i want.

Have you tried connecting the keyboard and mouse to another computer? Or tried connecting a different keyboard and mouse to your computer?

If it's PS2 and it's not responding than your friend is probably correct. You could buy a new motherboard, or get USB keyboard/mice.

The fool I ordered from sent my A 939 NF4G instead of the DUAL.
Now i gotta wait for him to exchange it tomo. My graphics card runs on AGP8X
not PCI. I'm running the ATI radeon 9600 pro 256mb.
All is sufficient for me to game and all i ask for is the right motherboard and the incompetent fool orders the wrong stuff. I HATE INCOMPETENCY!!!!!!!!!!!
