help help sound

hi, i was just playing red alert 2 and then the sound just cut out... i didnt think much of it at the time and turned my pc off, now i just started to play far cry and it did it there to?! whats going on?

well that works, fine, its just farcry that just dosent seem to work with sound!!! only the intro movie clips have sound, but as soon as the menu loads up, theres nothing:angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

Trivial question, but is everything plugged in all the way? If the cord is loose, it may cause that problem. Also, does this only happen in games or when you listen to a CD in the tray as well? Lastly, are you using the most up-to-date games and the original game discs when you play?

umm yup, its only with games, and i think the version of my farcry is v.1.0 lol so no its not up to date lol, so do you think if i update my game, it may work?

Possibly ... are you using your original game discs? Sometimes cracks can cause in-game errors

That is a good start Farcry had lots of glitches in the 1.0 version is better you update now to 1.3 and the other patches are mainly for multiplayer only don't use the 1.2 patch because was recalled for massive bugs
