My son has several games sent from my brother inlaw in the states. Although the PSX ones were easy to patch to PAL, i need info on how to do it with a DVD game, same again NTSC to PAL. I have tried the programmes for CD but mo joy , i need a tutorial on how to do it with DVD. Can any one help me PLS.

I not sure if its even possible, is your son's PS2 chipped?

Well as far as I know some PS2 mod chips will enable you to play both PAL and NTSC, without any need for patching, so I dunno TBH, someone else might be able to help you out.

I would have thought that your mod chip would let you play NTSC and PAL games. Mine does. What chip is in the PS2?

Not sure but the older chips may not have let users to play NTSC games, but as i said im not sure on that. Im probably wrong and all games play back on it,
As far as i know with the old ps1 chip cards (plugged into back of old ps1) you needed a TV that supported PAL60 to playback NTSC games in colour. My 21" tv unfortunatly didnt so i had to use my sisters crappy 14" for a lot of games.

I think the chip is an old Magic 3 chip if i remember correctly!
