Hi everybody.
I installed Toca Race Driver 3, placed the no-cd where it supposed to be, the game runs and everything looks fine until the point you want to actually start a race. at this point the game simply crashes back to windows without any warning...
I don't think it's a hardware problem (6600GT, 512RAM).

HELP??? :confused:

Does the game ever work with the orignal in the drive?
Have you tried it WITHOUT a nocd fix?

No.
Let's just say I don't want to try without the no-cd... I think the no-cd is not the problem, other people use it and it works just fine.

Why dont you want to use it without the No-Cd? It might be a bugged crack you got there..

I can't use the original and that's that. Again - the crack isn't bugged, it works for other people.

Could be a problem with crack too if you used the update patches that update the lame starforce protection. Some time ago I read somewhere that Toca was not working fine with old cracks and the new patches had to used with that problematic mini images and unplugging cables crap I don't know if the cracks have been updated since then since ins an old game

Also crashes without warning could be sympthom of lots useless processes running in the background close some and update your sound video/drivers

besides, if the crack was defected it's not suppose to work for anyone, right?

Here's the thing: the first step to troubleshooting a problem is eliminating any possible causes for your problem. If you refuse to help us troubleshoot, there's nothing we can do to help you. No-cd fixes can sometimes be the cause of errors (e.g., The Godfather car issue). Again, I want you to replace all original files from the backup you made before you replaced them (before overwriting any file, ALWAYS make a backup), and try using your original game disc there and see if the problem persists.

I understand what you are trying to do, and give me alittle credit - I would have done so myself.
I do not have the original exe, I was kinda hoping you will figure out alone why...

I can take a stab at why you don't: you don't legally own the game. That's the only conclusion one could make for your refusal to use your original game disc. Unfortunately, warez is illegal, and this forum can be punished for facilitating an illegal activity such as that, which is why there are rules against discussing it. I commend you on following those rules, but the fact that you don't own the original game disc still means we cannot help you. How about you contact the software company that makes the game and ask them to help you rip them off, because you won't get help here ...

Sorry, but this is a good place to turn to give/receive help, and it would be a shame for it to be taken down due to illegal discussions. Sorry that you're upset that someone won't help you break the law. Where I come from, there's a term for that (accessory), and their punishment is as severe as the actual perpitrator.

Very Common.
Nope, If yor patched to another version that crack will not work for you.

If it has somthing changed when it was reversed that was damaged and effects your settings then it wont work on your pc. "Not real common"

Also if that game creates a log file after crashing or windows for that matter, you should be able to see whats going on.

Try running the game in window mode, Also try using diffrent resolution settings.
