Hey guys --
I'm pretty frustrated right now. I've been trying to get The Sims 2 and Univesity to work today. I had them all working up until Open for Bussiness before, but I got a new hard drive a couple months ago and never tried installing them until today.
At first I got the sims 2 to work with the no cd exe and then I tried to install university, but I got the send error report page. Then I came here and search around and found out I had to install hte expansions with the original exe. So I uninstalled them both then reinstalled and I got the sims 2 to work with just the image (it wasn't before) so then I tried installing University and this time I got the insert cd error instead so I was hopefull that I could find a no cd crack. Came back here - found the mini images and tried that. I think thats what I used back on my old HD when I had it working, but this time when I mounted it (on either A120% or DT) it would pop up like a dir or a data cd which I'm not sure is normal Maybe it is, thats partly what I came to find out. Then I still get the insert cd prompt. It did this with every mini image I found. Then I uninstalled again (which I'm starting to think wass stupid) and now when I try to install The Sims 2 the images in the install are for university, then when I go to load it I get the error report again.
So heres what I'm planning to do: I plan to install University AGAIN ontop of the faulty sims 2 game and then uninstall them both using the add/remove (when I uninstalled last time I did it through regedit) and hopefully I can get back to the point where I just get the insert correct cd prompt and the dir image thing then hopefully someone here can help from there. So I'll do that unless someone replys fairly quickly and tells me to do something else.
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks ahead!
Also I'm not sure if I should post this here or in the No CD Patch Loc. Forum, sorry if I'm wrong.
