GTA Vice City mouse problem

I have GTA Vice City but I couldn't be bothered installing it but I decided I might as well today. When I started it up it worked fine but for some reason the mouse didn't work properly. In the menu it sorta works but you can't click anything only point and you have to press the enter key instead of clicking. I pressed alt-tab and alt-tab again and it worked fine in the menu. When I go to actually play the game the mouse doesn't work at all and I have to use the num pad. For some reason the first time I tried it it didn't work but I fiddled around with it and the mouse worked in the game, but now it doesn't work.

I tried restarting the computer and restoring the default settings.

Are you using your original game disc when this error occurs? If not, replace original files and use the original and see if the problem persists. Sometimes, the cracks can be the cause of a problem (e.g., car issue in The Godfather) ...

it seemed to work when I played it on the other pc but that was my dad's work laptop. I can't play it on the laptop because they changed it so my dad's account isn't administrator so I can't play it. I don't think it's the cd.

Is the game up to date with the latest patch?

And if you want to play on a laptop should be better if you connect a mouse instead of the touchpad the laptops have since is very diffcult play games with that

no it isn't but the 1.1 patch is for a graphics error and I don't have one.

Then try downloading that patch and see if the problem still persists....

the only 1.1 patch is the game exe Gta Vice City that correct near nothing if you wnat the 1.1 you better go for the 1.1 no crack tha is the exe patched and the check removed

err.. I don't really get what you mean the patch is for a graphics error and it says don't use it unless you have one but I don't.

The pach 1.1 is only a small update that correct a fix corruption that no always is not present on all machine only on certain videocards that all the patch do, there is no substancial updates other than this one . .All do is done overwriting the gta-vc .exe on the Gta Vice City game directory. No other files are overwrited

I was saying you better download 1.1 no cd crack from megagames.com because you gonna the exe with fhe the corruption fix, the no cd check removed so no more cd inserting requiered and game updated That is all
