I have a problem with Battlefield 2, I can only play it for around 1 hour before it crashes because of a problem with something starting with ati. I have a radeon 9250 PCI card will changeing it to a AGP card make it better or chould I get a new card? I was thinking of getting a ATI Radeon X800 XL AGP but there is also a ATI Radeon X800 XL X800XL 256MB DDR3 AGP 8X HDTV 1Y what does the DDR3 mean.
Will this be good enough to play battlefield 2 or is it more than I need?

PCI cards can not fit in AGP slot, they are different.

Graphic cards are not eveything, first we need full spec. of your PC or mainly Processor and Memory at least.

AGP is better than PCI and PCI-E (PCI-Express) is better than both. There is no motherboard with AGP + PCI Express as far as I know. Getting a PCI-E card can force you getting new motherboard, Does your current motherboard support AGP ?

As for the crashing problem, did that happen once you started playing BF2? Or when you upgraded your ati drivers, (Latest version is 6.6 been out less than a week), it might be an over heat problem, but usually freezes your whole PC.

Thinking of a New card? Well my advice remains : Go for the highest price you can afford.

The "DDR3" is the type of memory used on the card ...

Is there a program that gets your pc's specs or a way to get them without going through all your boxes and things?

Lavaly's Everest would..if you can pick up an old version. They have halted the produciton of the home version now. Thoguh coporate and ultimate are still on the go but they are not freeware.

Your memory isn't there ... Go to Start > Control Panel > System and tell me how much RAM you have
