I keep getting a trojan dialer virus despite repeatedly cleaning and scanning the computer with AVG. ITs always the same two files which keep coming up despite me deleting them. Any ideas?

do you have turned on your firewall? also when you remove the virus should be good you disable system restore temporally this thing sometimes recovers the deleted viruses

system restore is disabled and the firewall is on which is how i prevented the dialler from reaching the internet.

This neat little program will prevent pretty much any trojan dialers from downoading onto your computer.
to remove the trojan spybot search and destroy should help you.

What's probably happening is the trojan is copying itself over somewhere before it's deleted, and then infecting the files again. Reboot your computer into safe mode and run the scan there, and see if that solves your problem ...

A safe mode scan is really the best solution. Not just for this particualr trojan, but for all of your future virus scans.

Man just out of topic my antivirus updated itself and started to scan automatically and until now have found 2 trojans, damn viruses and that is why I don't like to use IE lots of times becauase gets infected by craps like that

Opera has gotten better benchmark scores, so unless a site requires IE, stick to that ...

This guy (and Dip) know their ++++ ;), whenever you get a virus always scan it in safe mode. :)

Don't worry Dip, I'll give ya credit ;) I haven't found too many sites that have a problem with Opera. But if they do, I use the IE7 beta. Pretty good, but I prefer Opera, I'm too used to it now.

Since it's a "Dialer" it is more than likely a *Trojan*...
Go here and get Ewido Security Suite, Spybot Search & Destroy and try them.. Also get A-Squared and see if any of them find it...
Make sure you get the Free Personal Versions and after installing Update them...

What program has the trial?

A-squared. It requires an email subscription so there is no way to overcome the 30 day trial(not that i would attempt to or know how to even think about attempting to overcome a trial)

Go for the trial versions... If it rids you of your prblem then it's worth it...
You can alway unistall the programs when the trial period runs out and if you ever see a real need to have them then spend a few dollars and buy them...
Those programers gotta make a buck also ya know...

In my experience (which isn't all that vast due to a lack of malware problems in general), software that is supposed to rid your system of malware usually only will alert you that you have a problem during the trial, requiring you to purchase the software in order to clean it up (e.g., Spyware Doctor) ...

This is definatly not th best solution. You may think it is and works for you but many files affect the system restore. So basically your are restoring a virus or some ad/spyware right back in.
Just as a few of the guys said , you have to run the scan in safe mode.
1. reason is when you load in safe mode it runs the minimum process count.
There are some others that run in safe mode also and have more drastic means of removal. E.G. SkYFalcon/SpyFalcon
