the crashes r not depending by the crack - it seems to be a problem with some soundcards.

update ur drivers.... maybe that's the solution

The crack is from Reloaded.So it might be a driver problem. Make sure that you have the latest video and sound drivers and your DirectX is at least v9.0c April2006(latest is June).

Yes the game crashes and i stopped playing it. I can't get out of the cave mission at the beginning of the game because it crashes.

ok i fond this at the Offical Titan quest forums i am using this trick! and it works!
1.just instal the game
2.go the start, the control panel, the sounds and audio diveces, then the tab audio, the the first above button ADVANCED, the you see 2 scrolls things put the to the left

i just wanna help so DONT BUGGER UP THIS THREAD, like the 1 in Hitman blood money

THQ or how ever made this game has ++++ed up the sound settings

The number of audio crashes for anyone with a good sound card are far less than those from the cracked EXE. It seems they've made it so if you crack SR7 games it introduces instabilities to the game itself.

Make an image with RPMS data, burn it to a dvd. Turn on daemon tools with RPMS option checked but emulated drives disabled. Might need to reboot to get it to properly disable them. Stick the DVD in and play. It's nice not packing the real copy around with my laptop, it's not kind to fragile items in the case with it. I'm not sure why having daemon tools with RPMS on makes it work since theres no image mounted, but it always sasses me if it's not on RPMS.

Even on thegame forums, people are complaining of the same problems.Most likely a patch will be out soon. I have a friend who bought this game. He has a onboard soundcard, but no problems.Other friend of mine has one of the last genereation Audigy sound card and his game crashes frequently. So, my money are going on a patch released in a week or two.

I admitted the game has some issues, but the reloaded exe is a piece of junk. Usually they produce good stuff, but ever since SR7.2 they seem to be missing something that is causing certain gameplay elements to crash when using a crack. Much like tossing items etc. in Hitman. Anyone who has an actual DVD to use knows that. Those who can't, have a pirated copy and wouldn't know that the game is more stable than the reloaded exe leads you to believe. Does the crack "work?", yes. Till you hit a spot where it fails over and over and over.

That's why they're having so many problems identifying crashes, a very large number are legit, but there's also a large number that aren't. When I play with the DVD it runs great. There's some load lag, and it bottoms out after around 6-8 hours when the apparent memory leak eventually trips it up, but overall it runs very well. Playing for that long is rare for me anyway, independance day weekend FTW. When I attempted to use the reloaded EXE instead it crashed like gangbusters, and usually at the same places EVERY time. I heard the same thing from many people on the forums, primarily on exiting caves.

If you honestly believe the crack is perfect you haven't seen a real copy.

yes, i tried that fix in hopes it would stop the crashing, but it didnt do anything, so i want to get rid of it. are all the .arc files the ones i should keep?

Use this trick, but delete the crack - it is worse programmed. If you don't have an image, go to gamecopyworld.com and download one Mini-Image, mount it and execute Titan Quest.exe with Securomloader. That's all. Work for me perfectly.

I dont see how that works for you and not me? SecurRom always complains of emulation software detected. I even use Pr0t.St0p to hide the virtual drive and it still doesnt launch. wth am i doing wrong?

just realized Daemon Tools was up to version 4. Updated and it works now.

go to start
go to run
type dxdiag (without the "'s)
hit enter and it will start loading up the directx diagnostics tool. you can test sound and graphics relating to the directx package.

It will tell you your version as well but mammu all you need is 9.0c it doesnt matter what month i dont think. i just upgrade whenever microsoft update has an update for it. SP2 came with 9.0c i think

Yeah, I finally got it to work yesterday. It turns out the mini-image was to be found at gamecopyworld.com and not gameburnworld.com. But it all worked out so thanks for the help. :)

Wrong quote, sorry. But here is how u can get TQ working inspite of patches.

1. Install the game, mount image with newest DT 4.03.
2. Get fixed image (mini-image) from www.gamecopyworld.com (u get .mds and .mdf file)
3. get Securom Loader 1.2 (also from www.gamecopyworld.com)
4. Mount mini-image with different drive, patch newest 1.08
5. Run Securom loader like for ex. like this
asr -r C:\TQ\Titan Quest.exe (window opens, run Titan Quest.exe again)
6. Play The Game

Sometimes, game doesent start when u run Securom Loader, but I did it twice, and now it is working every time, and I can patch it like normal using "update" in game menu. I hope this work for u guys! Enjoy!

Me myself would like to know which file got cdkey? Maybe u can play this game in Internet only if u buy properly cdkey, or do u guys now any trick of this?

Internet play only with your original(bought) cd-key. I've already upped the no-cd exe crack and the mini-image for v.1.08.On the long run, if they don't change the protection, as they did with many patches at many games, the mini-image is better.
Dip linked this thread with the thread where I've posted the crack for v.108(thank you Dip) and if you look up you will see another link where I've upped the mini-image.
