empire at war mod

I modded my empire at war game and it started messing up the pictures for the ships, background changes colours, games don't work. When i tried to do the uninstall it said the whole game was locked out.
also the general uninstall doesn't work (it gives me an error message), i need help

Try the add/remove programs option in the control panel and see if that helps.....

tried, and the thing only says to delete all the added files (one was replaced), and when i tried it, it locked me out of the game
