Hi all im having problems with Need for speed Porsche Unleashed, the text is blurry and i dont know how to solve it the read me says change adressing mdoe switches but I dont know where...

If you are having trouble with unreadable or scrambled fonts, try changing the Addressing Mode switches to (you may need to adjust the following settings):
- Non-Filtered Texel Origin: CENTER
- Filtered Texel Origin: x=0.00 texels, y=0.00 texels.

Are you playing this in xp - if yes then it's a well known problem.

Does the racing part play ok?

Yes using XP Professional, playing it is ok its just the text but it says theres a way in the readme of fixing it but i dont understand it.

Have you tried to see if this exists in the in game settings option?

as Amargeddemon said, there must be a setting of some sort in the game to adjust this.

no theres no setting in game to solve it, and yes original disc to install and patched with a no cd crack

thats strange...every game has a settings option....check the settings of the game before you start the actual game (eg.before you start to race)

Fixed .exe files can actually screw up gameplay ... replace the original .exe and use your original game disc and see if the problem persists

Set the compatibility mode to Win2000

Thats OK, I Thought A New Need For Speed Came Out And I Didn't Know About It

And If Its A Game For The 2000 Seting The Compatibilty Should Work Fine

...wow...
Simply replace the old Porsche.exe file with your new No-CD crack (also titled Porsche.exe)
That solves the proble because the .exe file reads the files in the folder it's placed in. No other files=no bootup. I had this same problem at first; figured it out myself.

Anyway, I wanted to revive this topic because I had a problem myself...
I booted my old NFS:PU with a No-CD crack, but there's no in-game music (because it's usually read directly from the original CD.) Anyone know how I can use the No-CD bootup and still have in-game music?
