Hi, I recently decided to slap X64 on a 3rd hard drive and boot between X86 and X64 versions of windows. Problem is in order to avoid a messy unplugging and replugging of devices I've been using the same slot for either my DVDROM or 3rd hard drive with mount brackets. 4th hard drive is a small high RPM 5 gig I use for SWAP.

I figured I'd just use mini images for all my DVD based games but for some reason my securom hider, ASR.exe securom loader by KRK, wont work. It doesn't hide X64 daemon tools so I get the emulation device detected sass. Anyone know any that will work and not create the unable to initialize module issue? That's the reason I used ASR, the rest tend to not work properly.

Any ideas would be appreciated. I'll unscrew my primary and swap them in and out if necessary but I'm hoping to find a less troublesome solution. Thanks.

Have you tried it on X64? It doesn't work on it that I can tell. KRK worked great in X86.... wish it did in 64.

It's not much different than normal, but it allows you to use 64-bit patches on some older games (e.g., FarCry)

X64 helps remove the process overhead from your operating system and has more effective memory management as well. You can buy it just like XP or trade your copy of XP in for X64. I wouldn't recommend it since you won't know how much trouble it will cause you depending on the hardware you use. I lucked out, only thing I'm having issues with is dual booting it on a single hard drive. If it would do that properly I could avoid the whole CD thing, but the two installs tend to mess with each others stuff. I might just convert my Primary OS to X64 and avoid the cracks and mini images all together now that I've solved my single hardware issue. Not having to swap CDs is nice but the new Hitman is most enjoyable. =D I got my copy of X64 free from the MSDN thing my college runs. Can buy all kinds of microsoft stuff for next to nothing and get the real CDs or check out copies from our tech services dept.
