I need a new laser for my PS2 where can I get one in the UK?

I have a chipped PS2 and I am starting to notice graphic glitches in all of my backup games. I am thinking that the problem is the PS2s laser can anyone tell me where I can get a new one in the UK or Ireland? I dont know what version my PS2 is but it is a slimline model can anyone help?

If it was the laser.. it would not load the games in the 1st place.. seeing as you have the slimline version.. do you know that it has a problem with overheating if its been on for extended periods of time, thats what is probably cusing the glitches.. or it might well be the mod chip thats causing it.

I agree it has to be either heating or more likely the mod chip itself.

Do you know of anyone who can fix my PS2 it is chipped with a MatrixMX4 I did have another PS2 it wasnt slimline and was chipped with a Messiah2 and I got the same problem with it. I have used different brands of media when backingup my games like Verbatim and Ritek would it be a better idea if I just used the same brand media for all of my backups?

My slimline PS2 has glitched before when I have played for a few hours on end.

As said above if it was the Laser, the PS2 would struggle/wouldn't read the disc at all.

If you lie it down flat, you should try having it vertical, that will disperse the heat better.
