PS2 Mic

I'm looking at buying a new mic, in the past i've bought crappy cheap ones that only lasted a week, so i'm looking to buy something more beasty and hardwearing.

I've seen a Logitech USB mic, that i've tried and the qaulity is pretty good and stuff.

All I want to know as its USB, would it work in my PS2, or will only the official PS2 USB mic work?

I have a mic from Logitech for my PS/2 ... if the one you have doesn't work, look at that. I never played online much for PS/2 (XBOXlive was far superior and I didn't want to settle for something inferior haha)
