for those who had xbox live n got banned for having a mod chip u can do this n get back online with ur banned xbox (xbox live not found)

Ok I like many other have been plagued by the Xbox live not found error, which to the best of my knowledge is from you serial number and or mac address being banned for having a mod chip installed. I have no solid proof that this why you get this error but i was able to get on Xbox Live friday night with no problems and saturday night i started to get the Xbox Live not found error. This is what i did to get back on.

I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF YOU RUIN YOUR XBOX WITH THIS METHOD

I have tested it my self and it works like a charm.

1. Boot to evolution get a backup of your hard drive key and eeprom by using back up in the system utilities menu. Copy this to a safe place on your pc incase you need to go back at any time.

2. open the hdinfo.txt file in the backup folder and write down the hdkey you can leave off all the zeros at the end.

3. Find someone who will let you copy their back up folder. This has to be from an xbox that will never be used on Xbox live and for obvious reasons cannot be from a banned Xbox. If two xbox with the same serial and mac try to get on line at the same time it would be a dead give away the you have done this. copy their eeprom.bin to your xbox's c drive

4. Make a bootable floppy drive with hdunlock, hdlock, hddisable, and atapwd.

5. install your xbox's harddrive in your pc (i would recommend unplugging all other hardrive so you don't accidently mess them up.)

6. Boot from the floppy you made and run hdunlock and choose your harddrive from the list. type in the hdkey you wrote down earlier. (enter all letters in lower case). now run atapwd to make sure that the drive unlocked. now run hddisable choose your hardrive again and re-enter the hdkey. You should now have a fully unlocked hardrive. Put it back in the xbox for now.

7. Find a copy of EeproMagic and copy it to your harddrive. you can run it from boXplorer. Eepromagic will make a backup of your original eeprom to eeprombackup.bin and write the new eeprom.bin to the chip. You will get a message saying to make sure that the serial numbers from your old eeprom match the serials for you new eeprom otherwise you may mess up you xbox, ignore it works fine if they don't as long as the eeprom.bin you are planning on writing is a good back up of an original eeprom.

8. now this is where unlocking the drive before you started helps. Reboot your xbox to evolution to make sure all went well. if your hardrive all show 0 bytes you did not successfuly unlock your drive go back and try it again. If you successfuly unlocked your drive go back to system utilities and backup again. open the hdinfo.txt file in the backup folder and write down the new hdkey.

9. Pull your drive out and reinstall it in your pc (just like above i sugest unplugging all other harddrives). boot to the floppy you made earlier again. This time run hdlock, choose you hardrive, and type in the NEW hdkey (lower case letters again) don't press enter yet read through it twice and make sure you typed it in right. Now press enter. hdlock will save a file one the floppy called HDDPW.TXT. this is a safety in case you typed it in wrong you can read the file and find out what key the drive was locked with. DO NOT run hdlock.exe again if you think that you may have typed the key in wrong you will lose the key it was locked with. In case you did type it in wrong just write down the key from HDDPW.TXT and go back through the unlock steps and try again.

10. Now reinstall the hardrive in your xbox. Make sure you disable your modchip so you don't get you "new" xbox banned also. Boot you xbox to the retail micosoft dash board if it boots to the dash you have successfully cloned your xbox.

11. Logon to Xbox Live and Enjoy!

MUCH THANKS TO OPJOSE, THE XBOXHACKER TEAM, ANYONE WHO HELPED FIGURE THIS OUT. YOU GUYS OWN

Exactly. No matter what they do, there will always be a way around it.

This is what makes copy protections pointless.

copy protection is just a waste of time imo, it is basically so only a smaller group can get around it instead of anyone who has ever used a computer.

what nosolution means is that the COMPANY (ex. microsoft) puts copy protction right? and THAT is teh waste...because ppl will always unprotect it...so why make it in teh first place s what he means..

hope this helps
