Hi all, did a search to try and find the answer but got nothing.
I installed the WC3 1.20d patch yesterday and then applied the 1.20d no-CD crack, but when I get into WC3 and try to login to Battle.net, it tells that it could not validate the game version and I should donwload the patch manually. It also displays 1.20c in the corner when it should say 1.20d. Any ideas? I've already tried reinstalling.

Hmmm.. I'm getting the same problem as you. I've tried what my friend advised me to do but to no avail. He advised me to replace the current warcraft exe file I'm currently having (1.20C) with a clean one (1.20C). Then I could try to use the 1.20D manual patch followed by the crack. However, i'm still getting the same 1.20C back due to my current version being more updated. o.0
You could try this out though, hopefully it might work for you.

I've got the same problem, it looks like Blizzard have put the wrong version number on the new patch.

It's not just that I can't connect to battle.net, but the fact that the patch bugged my game and it doesn't know what version it is itself!

Could always use the original cd/dvd in your drive and forget about a patch. Maybe the server has wised up...

Yes I've tried reinstalling, but to no avail. I've tried using a no-cd for both 1.20c and 1.20d, neither work. Well, the 1.20d works but ti still says that I have 1.20c.

Unfortunately, without having the original CD, we can't help you here ... otherwise, for all we know, you sold the game to your friend and want to still be able to use it. Sorry, but it's only legal to have a no-cd fix if you legally own the game (and not having possession of it, even if due to pure stupidity in losing it, unfortunately, isn't an excuse).
