Ps2 Test Kit!!!

I currently own a ps2 test kit i was wondering if it could play ps2 games if i back them up????:run:

lol its the ps2 games companys use when testing the games its doesn't say ps2 on the side it says test ive played wining eleven on it that was baked up and had been modded (Yes modded on the ps2 a guy from work broght it in) i just wanna know if i can back up my games coz there always getting ++++ed up!!!!

With the cost of CD's / DVD'd being mere pennies nowadays, the best way to find out would be to backup one of your original games and try it out ... you haven't lost much if it doesn't work.

meh!! guess im gonna have to but i just wanted to find out first i dont see why it wouldnt work its played a cdr with wining eleven on and its like a £2000 test kit you know!! if it dont work ill sell it on ebay as pal games dont work on it!!

These test ps2 cases you mean those that company developers use to try out the game first?

Well i would presume it should work with the backups because real ps2 games are being pressed in the factory.
Developers test their games first on regular dvds/cds for bugs etc... Because a pressed one costs a lot of money and time... They need very fast answers at a low budget cost.

PS2 "Test" units are nice because you can play backups. You will need a little PC software to do so, though.
First you make an ISO of the game (or download it). Then you must mark the ISO file as a "Master". I have the mastering SW, it runs on Windows. Next you burn the ISO to a DVD or CD, and viola!

I also have a PS2 test unit and am willing to sell it if anyone wants it. If you want the ISO mastering SW, let me know.

I've never heard of one with TEST on the side,
all I've ever seen are the ones with TOOL.

The PSX tool kits had black shells: too cool in comparison to the grey.

The PS2 Test Kit is just a normal PS2 that can play copies, nothing more nothing less.

The PS2 "Tool" on the otherhand is the development kit, I would have loved to get my hands on one in the past.

Now i'd kill to get hold of one of these babies. :p

I recognized the respective dev kits.
The GC and DC dev kits are too suhweet.
Is that big obtrusive clunky box the XBX dev kit?
I've never seen one, so I'm guessing yes.
It's the line up of the last gens dev kits sans the Nuon.

The Tool stations are still available at GCC.

They got the PS2 linux set up too.
I almost feel like kicking myself for giving away
my PS2 linux set up to my brother in law.
I paid like $200 plus shipping, GCC has them for $400!?

Too bad I'm not an indian giver.
