Most files don't. In my short time here, I've seen a couple false complaints, but never one valid one. Which file are you talking about? I'll download it and check it with my AV ...

Most trainers that i've downloaded from here have them like I can't even download them nod32 gives me the virus detected thing and nod32 is never wrong as it's the best av out there currently.

Well, then I guess don't use them ... nod32 is the AV that I've seen this problem with before. I've checked files with multiple AV programs and they've shown nothing. If you trust your AV that much, then don't download them and just play the game as it was meant to be played. Personally, I would trust numerous AV programs that tell me it's safe, but everyone's entitled to their opinion.

A lot of people report false alarms exactly from that antivirus NOD32

Oh boy are you deluded!!
The only reason nod32 can claim to pick up more virus's than proper AV software is because it picks up EVERYTHING that COULD be a virus.
Sure, you don't get infected but you can't use your PC.
Get a decent AV program or better yet, learn to play games so you don't need trainers in the first place!

PS nod32 is crap, get AVG free or Avast, i personally for a free av would use AVG

A ' Keylogger ' is not always a malicious virus, it is sometimes used to determine what action should be executed when a desired key is pressed .. this is especially so in the use of Trainers.

As said, some AV progs automatically detect a Keylogger as being a ' Virus ' when in fact it is not.

The Symantec products cause more harm than good. The Internet Security often times causes problems with Windows Update not being able to connect to the server, therefore rendering the computer helpless against the numerous problems in the Microsoft software (this is the stuff they actually know about and are trying to fix, let alone all the other problems, but that's another story). Also, Symantec makes it so difficult to fully remove the underlying traces of their product that you need to use a special tool that gets rid of it ("symNRT"). I think that should say a lot about how trashy the product is. Anyone who has Norton, I would highly recommend switching to a free AV program like AVG (I would say they'd be your best bet, but Avast is good also). Anyways, I have such high respect for you fjdc4, and I don't want it tainted by you suggesting someone use Norton AV :nono: ... ;)

McAfee would definately be a better choice. A lot of government agencies here in the US use that, and that was given to everyone at my college (I believe it's still being done). If you don't want to pay for another AV program, I would look into getting AVG free, as I would say it's the most comparable ;)

Wow dont go blaming the antivirus because i had tested this out i downloaded the file from youre site then from a different site and only the file from youre site had this also no nod32 doesnt say everything is a virus it's the reason why microsoft uses it on there update servers and not any other av software. Also all i wanted was a gta:sa trainer so i dont have to put in the weapons cheat constantly.

Read Rocol's post (I'll link you to it here (http://www.mgforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=307050&postcount=9)) again ... if only one AV flags it as a virus and numerous don't, you can pretty much bet that you're safe. Basically, all we are saying is if you want to trust your AV that much and not listen to the numerous ones that say it's not a virus, then you have to just keep entering the cheat. In the past, people have posted screenshots in which nod32 flagged something as a trojan, and I downloaded the file and scanned it with both AVG and McAfee and neither one turned up any problem. I believe I've read that every file gets scanned with an AV program before it's posted for download on the MG main site. About your comment about how Microsoft uses it, that doesn't really help your case on this site, as most people like the "Screw Microsoft" trend that seems to be growing extremely rapidly. All anyone here was doing was saying that in the past, nod32 has falsely flagged files as being virii/trojans, and to possibly check it with another AV. No need to get all defensive on us. You asked for help, you got help, and because it wasn't the help you wanted, it's our fault? Good day.
