Megagames freeware ATA game?? help

I downloaded the freeware title ATA - Extracts from the American Civil War, because I loved North&South on the Amiga Soooo long ago, the only thing is I cant get it to run on my new system with Windows XP home, also the link for the update for it is no longer around, as the makers have dicontinued supporting the title, is it legal for somebody to give me the update ATA_p115.zip, also Has anybody got it working on XP?
