i got this game but after the splash screen a error comes up ****.exe has caused an unexpected error! help please!!!!

1. i dont know how i double posted!
2. and there is a chunk of my cd missing (it fell and my chair wheel went over it) (i am a very unlucky person):blacsad

ouch man thats unfortunate....smashed disk?well i dont know if we can help you, as you must have the original disk for us to proceed? but i could be wrong.....

he has the oringal disk its just broken so i think it still good to help.
i did the exact same thing once droped a cd then the chair wheel went over it.

did the game ever give you this error when it was not cracked?

nope! only after i cracked it i tried like all the mini images out and the .exe's same thing splash screen and then error!

Have some patience! As stated in the forum rules (http://www.mgforums.com/rules/rules.php), you must wait 12 hours to bump your own thread. Just a piece of advice: impatience has a tendency to turn people off to helping you. Anyway, in response, if you could borrow your friend's game and make a 1:1 backup of it, I would suggest you try doing that. As long as you have a legal copy of the game, the source in which you backed the game up from doesn't really matter (the discs are the same, the only thing different is the random serial).

thats what i was about to suggest.
but first try to get the update patch for the game then reinstall the crack. it worth a shot

Take the advice I gave you earlier ... make a backup copy of a friend's game. Then you won't have the necessity for a crack.

no one i know plays games on there pc except manager games. but after i done the up date the erro dont come up now it splashes twice and then goes back to the desktop!:cry2:

Im not sure mate....try the ones from all the 3 major crack sites....an easier way is to do a google search and type in "Battlefield 2 no cd fix" and check all the responses that you get.....
by the way just out of curiosity what version of the game do you have?

When you apply the patch, I think it should put an original exe back. If this is the case, use a mini image. Without applying the cracked exe.

The problem using the mini image was that it tried to launch using the cracked exe, which is casuing the problem.

His cd is busted...hence he does not have the original.exe ;)

No no, I mean that the patch might replace the cracked exe with an original one. The exe might be updated to the patch version.

Ahh yes i see what you mean....i misunderstood :)

Hmm...doubt it will work but no harm in trying right ;)
