Skype problems

I think it's a nice new way of communiating with eachother other then msn etc.

Anyway here's the problem i installed it on the PC coz my mom wanted to test this "new" technology. So when entering username and password it starts connecting like any other messenger prog. but all of a sudden tells me i'm blocked behind a firewall even though i turned everything off (symantec, windows firewall and the router firewall).

Any suggestions?

have u tried confuring your firewall for the program?

Another thing man runing mroe than one software firewall is not recommended, they will cause conflict and errors. . .Oh yea another thing...NEVER TURN OFF YOUR FIREWALL!!

It was just a test to find which caused the problems but i fould out myself. My mom installed it and had everythig blocked. so i got into settings to permit the skype program.
Anyway thanks for the suggestion.

rember a lot of dsl modems have a NAT in them.
