View Full Version : Why do some of my burnt games have screwed up video?

(my TV is a 27" for reference)

For Magna Carta and PoP:Two Thrones, a few inches of screen are cut off at the bottom. This is especially bad in MC because that means an entire dialogue line is cut off. When either of them play movies it's even worse...the entire movie is moved down about 9" and I'm left with about 2/3 of the damn thing. Why are they doing this? I've tried using DVD+ and DVD- but they both do the same thing.

Also, for both of them, the only way I can get it to play is by selecting "NTSC" as the video mode in swapmagic. Otherwise, the game goes all wonky and starts scrolling constantly. I'm bad at describing, but it basically makes the games completely unplayable to ANYONE'S standards.

Help please!

Does the same problem happen when you use the original instead of the burnt?

Nope. I've tried burning the originals onto the computer with many programs and speeds, but nothing seems to work.

:(

I've used both Alcohol and Nero extensively. For Magna Carta alone I have 5 wasted DVD's.

Are you wrtiing at a high speed? it's always safe to burn at the lowest speed available.

your first problem is the swap magic..
