When i updated my windows a while back threw the auto updates evrything went fine but when i went to load my com back up the next day it came up with a window saying that an updater application failed and it came up with that send error report
other than that the com runs fine but i just wanna know why this is happening i was talking to my sister's boyfriend and he said that it happens to his computer to
so whats happening with it

Sometimes, the auto update is a piece of trash. What you should do is find out what updates you need (KB#######) to download and then go here (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Search.aspx?displaylang=en), do a search for them, and download the file and manually update.

One thing about manual updates, if you're doing more than one, on the last screen make sure you select "do not restart" or else it'll take you forever to get them all installed. Just make sure you restart when all of them are installed.

I don't like auto updater either it slowdowns 56k connections when are downloding the updates that is why I have it always disabled

How do you disable them? It keeps poppin up. I just ignore it but I hate to see it.

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Security Center > Automatic Updates (under "Manage security settings For:" > "Turn off Automatic Updates"
