empire earth 2 online

i recently started playing empire earth 2 online so i decided to update to v 1.2 and i cant join or host any game it keeps on saying 'Host has an incompatible installation: executable differs' and wen i try to run a game it keeps on asking for my serial and wen i do nothin happens. please help !?!?!?!?!?:blacsigh

On topic: Odd, I've only heard of those types of errors using an illegal version of a game. Did you try using your original disc to reinstall?

Couldn't it also be due to a no-cd patch? If he had a patch on there, the update could've failed, causing an error.

yes i did try reinstalling then updating all patches still same problem. it might be a faulty patch ill try and download from somewhere else
