Hi !
I tried virtualdubmod, divx create, nero recode and some others without any success, always getting an error message saying that this type of file is not a valid one...
I have all codecs (wmf, divx, flac, ogg, matroska etc.
Is there any easy to use software to do the job ? being a noob I'd like to get a click and go one ;)
thanks :)

Maybe this (http://www.riverpast.com/en/support/tutorials/convert/mkv/divx.php) will help you.

thanks for your early reply :) I tried these apps but they only rturn an error message such as "unexpected file type..." the only player which can read it is VLC with superb sound & picture (WMP, Nero showtime, BSplayer just crash on it

Look at this (http://www.riverpast.com/en/support/tutorials/convert/mkv/divx.php) tutorial ... first result in google for "mkv to divx"

thks, it's the 1st one I found when I researched (google too) but RIAM cleaner (1st step) issues an error message too and can't proceed.
I'm sure the file is valid as i checked it with gspot and could play it with vlc, I suppose it's a codec thing, but according to different testing apps it seems i have all the necessary ones :exclamati

Have you tried this (http://www.tomdownload.com/multimedia_design/video/movkit_batch_video_converter.htm)? It looks dodgy but its a long-shot.
