How can i get the fps on in Quake 3 and Serious Sam? Do i type something at the console

Q3: type /cg_drawFPS 1. That will display the FPS on the top right of the screen. You can find the average FPS by typing /timedemo 1
And then loading a demo via main menu.

if you have 56k it will go very slow i think u have to pay money to make your own server.

Nice try, but internet connection has nothing to do with how many FPS you will get on a local game:)
