I've looked everywhere I could think and still no find on the No-cd crack. Anyone that could help, it would be very appreciated.

From what I see on the publisher and developer sites(Jowwod and Piranha-Bytes) there is only v1.30 german patch and for the add-on only a 2.6 german patch.

And www.dlh.net. The last has the most complete patch colections. If a patch ain't there, usually it is something wrong with it. Or on the developer site the last patch is the german patch 1.30.

No help there. Did not work. I do have all the original cd's. I have the game installed at work and at home and am really tired of bringing the disc back and forth. So if anyone has the no cd crack or has any ideas to get around my delima I'd really appreciate it.

Are there any on GCW/GBW/MG? I don't have time to look now, but if there are none there, and the link wolfsrain gave you didn't work, I think you're going to have to keep lugging the games back and forth, unless you can make a backup copy of the game and leave that at work so you don't have to lug them anymore.

Have you tried making backup copies of the games?

Yes, I used Acohol 120 and still to no avail. I also used Record Now and Windows xp Backup. Won't allow it on disc 1.

Alcohol120% should work. Run a program called "A-Ray Scanner" with your disc in the drive and tell me the result.

I can tell you what protection is: Securom 7 with X-Prot(Jowood owner protection). That if he has yhe gothic 2 gold edition. If he has the normal edition it's securom 4 with jowood custom(see above). The Night of Ravens add-on it's protected just like the gold edition(securom7 and x-prot). Source www.daemon-tools.cc

Well, if you want to make a backup copy of the normal edition, open up Alcohol120% and select "Image Making Wizard" and make sure that the "Datatype" list is selected to "Securom *NEW(4.x/5.x)" and try making an image that way ...

Try Clone CD, if i remember well, it was able to write up to securom 5. Or buy the gold edition(addon included, allows higher levels, more story, more objects and so on). And the gold is up to date, and you can find a crack for that:D

Bought the gold edition yesterday. Thanks Guys. Only problem is that you can't use previous saves, but the game is awesome, so many different things you can do and different paths you can take.

I feel bad you needed to buy another copy of the game, but just know that you helped cover the tracks for some scumbag who illegally obtained the game, and you're helping to keep the gaming industry intact haha ... I guess that's a positive outlook on the whole situation.

yeah, it was no real big deal to buy another copy. This game is really really good. Not to mention, I have the one with the expansion pack now. Don't mind spending the money for the enjoyment I'm getting from playing this. If any of you know another game with as much attention to detail (by detail I mean story line) I'd sure would like the heads up. It will be hard to beat this one I imagine.

How about The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind(with the two addons:Tribunal and Bloodmoon)? Solid story, fabulous universe, politics, intrigues and one game where you can go even to take out a few pesky gods. I think the complete TES3 it's called TES3:Game of the year. And the fourth Elder Scrolls it's supposed to come out in march, this year(Oblivion is the title for that one).
